With a year-round schedule of performances, exhibitions, festivals, and live music there’s something to appeal to everyone. The City of South Fulton has hosted noteworthy events including Venus Williams Day, the ONYXCON comic book convention, and more.

Culture

The South Fulton Arts Center encompasses the Abernathy Arts Center, Emma Darnell Museum and Conference Center, West End Performing Arts Center. Creative and cultural events are presented throughout the year including exhibitions, plays, concerts, poetry readings, book-signings, dance concerts, and more.

 

The Southwest Arts Center Performance Theater and Gallery sits on a 27-acre campus with a studio/instructional building and a 375-seat performance theater.  The studio building contains the black box theater, music suite, graphics lab, dance studio, and two visual art classrooms. It is the only facility of its kind in the city, dedicated entirely to the arts and is also home to the only fine arts gallery in South Fulton County. Noteworthy annual events include the YOU Awards, ONYXCON comic book convention, several LGBTQ pageants, a Kwanzaa pageant and many more. With 42,000 square-feet of creative space, the venue is perfect for education, seminars, and gatherings.

The Wolf Creek Amphitheater is an open-air venue that sits on 435 acres of green space and plays host to live music, festivals, plays, and other performances. The amphitheater’s peak performance season runs May through September.

James Live! provides an active schedule of performances, featuring regional and nationally-recognized performers in jazz, soul, R&B, and gospel music. The relaxed space offers an intimate concert experience with dinner and cocktails.
